As you can see, above is a picture of a Crepe Myrtle tree, also known as Lagerstroemia Indica, whose flowers are not fully bloomed yet. this picture was taken in Bandung, which is a 2 hour drive away from Jakarta. This tree is from the Lythraceae family.The Crepe Myrtle tree is a shrub that can grow up to 5m high and 5m wide; it grows on grassy places, low altitudes and forrest edges. The wood from this tree is hard and strong. It's flowers can be made into paste and used on top of cuts or wounds. The flowers can also be used to treat colds.
